As we all know SOCKS is an internet protocol. SOCKS proxy server is an important type of proxy server. Nowadays SOCKS proxy server is very widely used. SOCKS proxy server is mainly used to hide our IP address. SOCKS proxy server transfers whole data from a client to server without adding anything to it from itself. When we access a website through SOCKS proxy server then it doesn’t send our IP address to website that we are accessing. SOCKS allow us to work with various protocols such as SOCKS 4 with TCP, SOCKS 5 – with UDP and TCP. Currently SOCKS protocol has two versions, one is SOCKS 4 and the other is SOCKS 5.
