HTTP Proxy Server is a type of proxy server. HTTP proxy server is very much similar to Web Proxy Server. HTTP proxy server receives all HTTP requests from users (clients). HTTP Proxy Server works as a server when it accepts HTTP requests from its clients and works as a client to the remote servers when it is unable to fulfill the request with its local cache. Thus we can say that HTTP proxy server works as a server and as a client according to its client’s requests. We can’t use HTTP proxy without configuring our web browser because HTTP proxy is a proxy with IP and port.
